For years, I’d slept on this movie, and when I finally saw it, “Jackie Brown” became one of my cinematic staples. So much so, that I wore the tape on my aunt’s VHS copy. My feelings about Tarantino are ambiguous, but this movie –and its protagonist– is bad ass HELL.
If I’m not mistaken, I think an old boyfriend challenged me to watch it (and “A Few Good Men”). What can I say? I was tardy to the party; thank goodness for old beaus. Anyway, check it out at The New Parkway. I went into it cold, but here’s a taste of what to expect, per original advertisements: “With half a million dollars up for grabs. No one knows how it’s going down. Except for maybe JACKIE BROWN.”
