To visit friends and get my dinner (yep, at 10 AM), I was headed toward the end of the lake (where all the markets are set up), but I didn’t quite make it because I noticed Grand Rising Food Truck. I’d seen the food truck advertised by some folks I’d met, so I’d be waaaaay outa (yes, “outa”) pocket not to stop and get me somethin’ to eat.
For well over a decade, I’ve seriously considered leaving the United States of America. It wasn’t until I’d learned of late-President Magufuli that I’d started to seriously set my sights on East Africa. Unfortunately, His Greatness is gone, and my desire to live in Tanzania is gone, too.
Not once in 2020 did I darken the door of this black-owned grocery store. I think living in the Age of COVID-19 just threw me off-track, but I’m ready to refocus, and poppin’ into one of my favorite stores was a good way to start.
I ain’t a killer, but I AM a complainer, and they done tested me. (Pape, it’s a Tupac reference. I’m not out here contemplatin’ killin’ folks. Calm down.)
No, I’m not goin’ anywhere, and I probably won’t eat for a few more hours, either. I’m so taken with having gotten into #PowerYourLaunch (an ostensibly well-worth-it marketing program) that I’m consumed with succeeding. I joined yesterday, and I haven’t been able to focus on much else, since.
