Product Review: Shortbread Cookies

As had been my custom for about a year, I stopped at the Red Bay cart to get a sweet fix. Instead of getting my usual muffin, peanut butter cookie, or kugle-whatever, I decided to try one of the packages of cookies that I’d always seen posted up near the ordering window, callin’ to me like Darius’ you-know-what was callin’ to Nina. I’m glad I listened.

For some reason, in Red Bay’s POS (point of sale) system, the entire package of cookies didn’t appear as a single item. The clerk had to figure out how to charge me for each, individual cookie; there are three to a pack. It didn’t take too long, though, and Red Bay’s team members are cool folks. It could’ve taken the clerk 10 minutes, and I’d’ve still been good.

Come on. We’re talkin’ about Red Bay Coffee folk.

I want to fudge and give these cookies a 10. They were that good. There are tasty chunks of almond throughout the cookies. They could’ve been slivers. I don’t remember. I just remember tasting a whole bunch of almond in each bite. I could taste orange essence, and did they use real butter? Was it olive oil? I don’t know. What I do know is that the cookies tasted outstandingly good.

Product Usability – 5
The cookies came prepacked. The package was bound by a twist tie. All I had to do was untwist the tie, remove the cookies–which were not cracked; there was nary a crumb inside the little baggy–and eat.

I’ve stopped going to the Red Bay Cart because I don’t know how to act right, but don’t let that stop you from poppin’ on over and getting a package of Yashi Bakes’ cookies.

That’s all for now.
